I planted six Bhut Jolokia seeds this year.  One sprouted after about 4-5 weeks, one sprouted around 7 weeks, and then a third sprouted at around 9 weeks.  The other three seeds did not produce.  One started to, but the sprout died before it produced the second set of leaves.

The Ghost Pepper has a much longer germination period and I was very surprised by the variation, seed to seed.  This is my first year growing ghost peppers and I have heard of people harvesting upwards of 100 good peppers from a plant.

What experience have you had with growing Bhut Jolokias?
